Today, Monday 25th April 2011 CTRL Byte ventured forth to once again do some hill walking in the Scottish countryside. We left Aberdeen at 08:15 and arrived at Loch Morlich around 11:15, shortly thereafter we set of on our trek to see Green Lake (Loch Uaine) and then onwards and upwards to Meall a Bhuachaille at an elevation of 810 meters. Shortly before making the main ascent we took some time out for a well earned break for lunch in and around 13:00. We had all reached the top just after 14:00 and spent some time flying a kite and getting some group photos before making our way back down. We were all back at Loch Morlich for 15:30 and spent the next hour and a half down at the beach playing bowls and football, before starting on our journey back to Aberdeen. After making one or two stops along the way home we eventually arrived around 20:40. All in all it was a great day and everybody enjoyed the day. The group was very much of an international contingent with six from France, five from Romania, two from Poland, and one from the UK, Ireland and Belgium. Once the May exams are out of the way we may set off on another adventure perhaps somewhere south of Aberdeen.
